Brazilian completes move to Athens

Olympiakos have completed the signing of Dudu Cearense from CSKA Moscow. The Brazilian midfielder has cost the Greek giants 5million euros (£3.9million), and has penned a three-year contract. The 25-year-old arrived in Athens on Tuesday to undergo a medical, and having sailed through the tests has now finalised the formalities of the deal. "Olympiakos wanted to sign me two years ago but something happened and I stayed at CSKA," said Dudu.

Expectations

"Now, especially after the good results of Olympiakos last season in the Champions League, I really wanted to make this move. "Olympiakos is a better club than CSKA with great expectations to do something really good in the Champions League. "I spoke with Mr Valverde (manager) and I told him that I am physically ready to play immediately. "A few days ago I spoke with Gilberto Silva (Panathinaikos) and Leonardo (Olympiakos) to find out some information on Greece and about the club. "I chose number 20 as my shirt because it is my favourite number. I know that the fans are very close to the team and they follow Olympiakos everywhere."
