The departure of Robbie Keane and continued speculation over the future of Dimitar Berbatov has caused concern among many fans at White Hart Lane.
But Croatia international Modric, signed in a £16.5million deal from Dynamo Zagreb, believes Spurs have enough quality in their squad to be a Premier League force.

Ramos has also brought in David Bentley from Blackburn, goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes and Giovani Dos Santos to bolster his ranks.
And Modric said: "I will justify the money Tottenham invested in me. The first target has to be to threaten the big four.
"We're capable of achieving some really good results."
