Defender leaves Brentford and heads to Priestfield
Gillingham have signed Leigh Mills on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, just 24 hours after he was recalled from Brentford.
Mills had joined Brentford on loan earlier in the summer and featured prominently during the club's pre-season programme.
However, he was summoned back to White Hart Lane on Thursday and has now been sent out to Gillingham.
The young defender has signed an initial one-month deal, with a view to moving to Priestfield Stadium on a more long-term arrangement.
He will go straight into Mark Stimson's squad for Saturday's League Two opener at Bournemouth.
