Holders Argentina battled past Australia, while Brazil and Italy were both convincing winners over New Zealand and South Korea.

Australian side.

Sekou Cisse put the Ivorians ahead after just three minutes before Serbia levelled in the 16th minute through Milan Mrdakovic.
Ivory Coast were back in front on 24 minutes after Slobodan Rajkovic put through his own net and Chelsea's Salomon Kalou made it 3-1 on 69 minutes.
Djordje Rakic pulled a goal back for Serbia a minute from the end, only for Ivory Coast to net a fourth through Gervinho in injury-time.
