Stoke City have completed the signing of Abdoulaye Faye from Newcastle.
The 30-year-old has penned a three-year deal after finalising personal terms and a medical on Friday.
Stoke will pay £2.25million for the services of the Senegalese international, who departs St James' Park after just 12 months on Tyneside.
"Abdoulaye is a fantastic player with top flight experience in abundance," chief executive Tony Scholes told the club's
official website.
"We have worked extremely hard to conclude the deal, and we are absolutely delighted to have signed a player of his quality."
The deal is Stoke's second in 24 hours after they signed Faye's namesake Amdy.
