Defender looking for new club after leaving Leeds
Bristol City have handed a trial to former Leeds United defender Darren Kenton.
The 29-year-old was released by Leeds at the end of last season after only moving to Elland Road from Leicester City in January.
He has now pitched up at Ashton Gate as Robins manager Gary Johnson looks for extra defensive cover following an injury to Jamie McCombe.
Johnson has already brought in Andy Webster on loan from Rangers and gave Kenton a chance to impress in Monday's reserve game with Forest Green Rovers.
"It came to our attention that Darren was unattached and we'll have a look at him at Forest Green," Johnson told the club's
official website.
"It's also good to be able to give Andy (Webster) 45 minutes to boost his fitness ahead of Saturday."
