Czech Republic goalkeeper expects different experience
Czech Republic goalkeeper Petr Cech admits he will be fulfilling a childhood dream when he plays against England at Wembley.
The Chelsea shot-stopper is expected to start for the Czechs on Wednesday in both sides' final friendly match before the beginning of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers.
Cech has already made three appearances at the new Wembley with Chelsea, but the 26-year-old expects a different atmosphere for an international game.
"Of course," Cech told
CTK when asked if it was an ambition to play an international at the home of English football.
"I have played three times since last year's opening of the new Wembley, but this will be different. Atmosphere during international games is different in England.
Rada test
"Playing against them will be an exceptional occasion.
"England don't know the words 'friendly games'. Every match is equally important and they are deservedly very proud of their team."
Meanwhile, Czech coach Petr Rada wants to celebrate his 50th birthday on Thursday having upset England.
"A celebration party is not as important as the game. I wish to be gifted already on Wednesday," said Rada.
"Obviously, both sides want to have a good result. England have a very strong team and play good passing football.
"This game is a test for us. The most important factor is that we are together ahead of the qualification and I will be able to see what shape our players are in."
