Dutchman hoping to win Pittodrie move
Aberdeen have handed a trial to Dutch defender Quido Lanzaat.
The former Ajax, Borussia Moenchengladbach and 1860 Munich player has been released by CSKA Sofia.
The 28-year-old can play at right-back or in the centre of defence and the Dons coaching staff will cast an eye over him in training before deciding whether or not to offer Lanzaat a deal at Pittodrie.
Assistant manager Jimmy Nicholl said: "We have the chap in on trial this week and he has been out training with us in two very intense sessions yesterday and today.
"I think he was maybe just a little behind the rest of the lads but not very far at all and he will continue to train for the rest of the week and we shall see how things progress."
