Striker set for lucrative birthday present
Barcelona are set to hand teenage starlet Bojan Krkic a lucrative professional contract.
The highly-rated striker will turn 18 on the 28th August, making him eligible for a senior deal.
Having fended off interest from the likes of Chelsea in the past, Barca are reported to have prepared a five-year contract, which includes an 80million euros (£63.5million) buy-out clause.
Bojan did put pen to paper on a three-year agreement back in 2006, but will see his impressive maturity into a first-team regular rewarded with a bumper pay rise.
His development was one of few positives the Catalan giants were able to take from a disappointing 2007/08 campaign.
He scored 12 goals in all competitions, making an impact in both the Primera Liga and UEFA Champions League.
He was also handed his first call-up to the Spain national squad, although he is yet to make his debut at that level.
