Leacock not looking a viable option for Clarets
Burnley boss Owen Coyle is determined to bring in a new defender after conceding defeat in his bid to sign Dean Leacock.
The Clarets have leaked seven goals in their opening two Championship matches this season and Coyle is eager to improve that record.
Though Saturday's opponents Crystal Palace have yet to score in the league this term, Coyle knows what he is looking for.
"Everyone can see that we have lost a number of goals and so this is an area we'd like to strengthen and we will continue to try and bring somebody in," Coyle told

Load of enquiries
Coyle has shown an interest in Derby County stopper Dean Leacock, who has yet to make a first-team appearance this season.
However, Coyle acknowledges that Alan Stubbs' retirement appears to have put paid to any bid to bring Leacock to Turf Moor.
He added: "We've made a load of enquiries for different players and other clubs have made them for our players, so that's the way it goes.
"My understanding of the situation is that Stubbsy's retirement due to injury means that they are looking to hold on to the lad themselves, so I think it's fair to say that it doesn't look like it will go any further."
Goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly has been told he can find a new club and, despite a number of enquiries made for the Hungarian, no bids have been made.
Clarets chief Coyle continued: "There has been a couple of enquiries, but that's it so far and we will continue to do what we do and everyone is working hard to see what comes."
