Striker's future at Inter appears uncertain

Lazio coach Delio Rossi has expressed an interest in bringing Inter Milan striker Hernan Crespo back to the club. Crespo played for Lazio between 2000 and 2000, scoring 39 goals in 54 Serie A appearances for the capital side. He has spent the past two seasons at Inter, but is reported to have fallen out with new coach Jose Mourinho. Reports have also suggested that the Argentine forward will be left out of Inter's squad for the UEFA Champions League group phase. Lazio are in the market for a new front man after losing Tommaso Rocchi to injury, with Rossi confirming he would be keen to sign Crespo. "If I have to give my consent to bringing in a new player who'll just fill the gaps or is a favour to another club then I won't do it," Rossi told Sky Italia. "But if we are talking about players of a high quality like Crespo then that is a very different situation altogether."
