Teenager earns loan extension after impressing at League Two outfit
On-loan Derby right-back Jason Beardsley has extended his stay at Notts County until January after impressing at Meadow Lane.
The teenager signed initially for three months until October but has done well in his three matches so far - playing every minute - to earn a longer deal.
The 19-year-old is an academy product at Derby and made his senior debut for the Rams against Blackpool in last season's Carling Cup, his only first team appearance last term.
After finding his opportunities limited at Pride Park, Beardsley is now enjoying playing regular football with the League Two outfit.
Really happy
He told the club's
official website: "I'm really happy at Notts County and pleased to be here. I didn't get many opportunities at Derby so to come here and play first-team football is exciting and I'm pleased with how things have gone so far.
"The challenge now is to maintain and build on the standards I've set for myself and I'll be trying my best to do that."
Magpies boss Ian McParland added: "Jason has really impressed us since he came here last month. He is very eager to learn and his hunger and appetite for the game has been fantastic.
"He is still learning and is by no means the finished article. But so far we're really pleased with what we've seen from him."
