Hartlepool youngster James Brown has signed a new deal with the club to put an end to speculation about his future.
The 21-year-old forward has scored three goals already this season and has been linked with a move away from Victoria Park.
Reports had suggested that a number of teams in higher divisions were interested in signing him.
However, Pools have convinced Brown that his immediate future lies in the North East.
Brown has been at Hartlepool since impressing on trial in 2004 and last term he scored 14 goals despite playing mainly on the wing.
