Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate has ruled out selling Mido to Wigan. Wigan have been linked with a move for Egyptian striker Mido with the player claiming Steve Bruce is keen to lure him to the JJB Stadium. Mido has started the season in fine form with two goals in two games and Southgate insists he has no plans to sell the former Tottenham man as he is an important member of his squad. "The lad wants to play football but he's shown over the last two weeks what an important player he is for us," Southgate told the club's official website. "I've no intention of letting any of the players we've got with us go. We feel we can achieve good things this season and it's important we keep our first team squad together." Meanwhile, Southgate has confirmed Brad Jones dislocated his finger in the warm-up before the defeat to Liverpool on Saturday.
