Striker swaps Merseyside for Germany
Liverpool striker Andriy Voronin has agreed a one-year loan switch to Hertha Berlin.
Summer speculation persistently linked the Ukraine international with the Anfield exit following an unsuccessful first campaign in England.
And Voronin, a free signing from Bayer Leverkusen last July, has now agreed a season-long move to the Bundesliga.
A statement on Liverpool's
official website on Monday read: "Andriy Voronin has today agreed a one-year loan deal with German side Hertha Berlin."
Voronin has struggled to impress since moving to Merseyside and has netted six goals in 27 Liverpool appearances.
