Sweden international Petter Andersson joined FC Groningen from Hammarby on transfer deadline day.
The midfielder has signed a four-year contract at Oosterpark Stadion as Groningen look to improve on last season's eight-placed Eredivisie finish.
Andersson, 23, had been linked with a number of clubs over the summer and he has admitted his relief that he has now put pen-to-paper.
"It feels good that it is done," Andersson told
Norra Vasterbotten.
"It has been a stressful few days, but now it is signed and done.
"The Eredivisie is good and they play nice football there. It is a good step to take."
