Midfielder admits he should never have left Underhill

Nicky Nicolau has rejoined Barnet on a non-contract basis, just months after leaving the club. The 24-year-old quit the League Two side at the end of last season and recently trained with Grimsby Town. However, he has now returned to Underhill and admits he should never have left Paul Fairclough's side. "I made a big mistake leaving at the end of last season," Nicolau told the club's official website.

Prove a point

"I never wanted to leave Underhill in the first place, but my agent thought a move would be beneficial to me and that I would better myself financially. "Now all I want is to try and help to get Barnet moving again and collecting some points. I am back to prove a point to supporters that I am Barnet through and through." Nicolau is expected to be included in Barnet manager Fairclough's plans for Saturday's game at home to Morecambe. Meanwhile, the Bees have confirmed that recent signing Jeremy de Magalhaes is out for at least six weeks with a groin injury.
