Bury maintained their 100% home record with a convincing 3-1 win over Lincoln at Gigg Lane.

Morrell, Sodje and Bishop on target for hosts

Bury went second in the table as they maintained their 100% home record with a convincing 3-1 win over Lincoln at Gigg Lane. Andy Morrell broke the deadlock on the half-hour mark, but Lincoln equalised within seven minutes through David Buchanan's own goal. Efe Sodje headed Bury back in front in the 50th minute before Andy Bishop's 66th-minute penalty sealed it for the Shakers, who remain unbeaten. There were few chances in a hard-fought first half until Morrell tapped in from two yards after Paul Scott headed Mike Jones' corner back across goal. Lincoln drew level as Janos Kovacs glanced Scott Kerr's corner on to the chest of Buchanan and into the Bury net. Sodje then headed home unmarked at the back post and when Lee Beevers held Scott down at a corner, Bishop fired his third goal of the season from the spot.
