Games coming thick and fast for City boss
Mark Hughes plans to rotate his Manchester City squad for the Uefa Cup tie with Omonia Nicosia.
City are preparing for three games in less than a week, starting with Thursday's trip to Cyprus to tackle Omonia.
Portsmouth await in the Premier League on Sunday before City head down to Brighton & Hove Albion next Wednesday for a Carling Cup second round tie.
Hughes is aware of the demands now being placed on his squad and the City boss is keen to make the most of the numbers at his disposal.
Raising level
"The games are coming thick and fast at the moment and I have to be mindful of that," Hughes told the club's
official website.
"We will have to use the squad because it's a big ask going into European games, Carling Cup games and some very difficult Premier League games.
"If we have to use all of the squad then we will do, but that is what being a Premier League footballer is all about.
"You have to keep raising your level and make sure that you are ready to go every time there's a game."
