O'Driscoll happy to let assistant boss make decision
Doncaster assistant boss Richard O'Kelly has been told the club would not stand in his way if he was interested in the Grimsby job.
O'Kelly had a spell with the Mariners as a player and has been linked with the vacant position at Blundell Park following Alan Buckley's dismissal at the start of the week.
Doncaster manager Sean O'Driscoll realises that O'Kelly could be in the frame to succeed Buckley at the helm of the League Two club.
And O'Driscoll has insisted that his colleague is free to make whatever decision he wishes.
"Richard is 50 years of age and he doesn't need my permission to do anything," O'Driscoll explained.
"He's well thought of at Grimsby and he'll make his own decisions."
