Real sports director not worried by striker's form
Real Madrid sports director Predrag Mijatovic has backed Raul to rediscover his best form.
The veteran striker has had a quiet start to the season and again made little impact in the 2-0 victory over BATE Borisov in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
Raul was singled out for criticism by some sections of the Spanish media but Mijatovic does not believe it will be long before he is back scoring goals and playing well.
"Raul will be back to his best soon. He has had a few problems but this game will allow him to find his rhythm again," Mijatovic said.
"He will be back to doing what he did last year and scoring a lot of goals."
Mijatovic believes it is important for Real to enjoy a long run in the Champions League this season.
The Spanish champions have been drawn in a difficult group alongside Juventus and Zenit St Petersburg, and Mijatovic was disappointed that the Italian side managed to beat the Uefa Cup winners in their midweek match.
He explained: "We have to have a good season in the Champions League.
"It would have been best for us if (Juventus) had drawn but we are excited about playing them."
