Burnley manager Owen Coyle must decide whether to recall winger Chris Eagles.
The summer signing from Manchester United has been suspended for the past three games but the Clarets have prospered in his absence by winning twice and drawing once.
Only an injury-time equaliser in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Swansea denied Coyle's side maximum points during Eagles' enforced absence.
However, the wideman could return as a replacement for striker Steve Thompson, who is cup-tied after playing for Cardiff in an earlier round.
Coyle will check on the fitness of Ade Akinbiyi, who is nursing a back injury, while Christian Kalvenes could push for a recall ahead of Stephen Jordan at left-back.
