Swiss international Sandro Burki has held talks with Celtic, his club have confirmed.
The FC Aarau midfielder is set to move in the January transfer window and a switch to Parkhead looks likely.
The 23-year-old midfielder, who made his international bow last month, has not commented on the possible move.
However, Aarau's sporting director Fritz Hachler has confirmed that they expect Burki to join the SPL champions.
"I think it is likely that Sandro will move to Glasgow," said Hachler.
"He was in Scotland last week and we expect the transfer to go ahead."
