Company hopeful stadium will be completed
The company which runs Falkirk's home ground has reacted angrily to reports it has gone into liquidation.
The story emerged ahead of Saturday's clash with Hamilton following a recent decision to restructure Falkirk Community Stadium Limited (FCSL) in a bid to ensure the half-built ground is completed.
FCSL chairman Peter Eadie said: "We have not gone into liquidation and the company is solvent.
"We continue to have discussions with our shareholders as to the correct route that will see the stadium completed and playing an important role within the community for many years to come.
Business as usual
"The message is very clear - it is business as usual at The Falkirk Stadium."
The stadium, which is only half complete, is run by Falkirk Council and Falkirk Football Club jointly as Falkirk Community Stadium Ltd.
The Bairns last week announced they were optimistic of finally being able to finish building their home following a proposed restructuring of the stadium business.
The club moved into Falkirk Stadium four years ago while it was still only partially built.
The ground currently has just two stands and a capacity of about 6,000.
The plan involved a restructuring of FCSL's assets, which will mean the council gaining the benefit of the existing rental and site development, while the club will receive control over playing facilities and spectator accommodation.
