Moore good news for Ronnie as Ian strikes

Tranmere cruised to a 2-1 victory over Carlisle in a game which was a lot more comfortable than the final score suggested. Rovers rocked the home side with a goal from their first attack when Ian Moore controlled Andy Taylor's cross to hit a shot which looped into the net after striking defender Richard Keogh. Edrissa Sonko went close with header which Ben Williams tipped over the crossbar. Moore was a constant thorn in Carlisle's side and Williams was forced to go full-length to push away the striker's skidding 20 yarder. Carlisle made a double change in attack with Danny Graham and Michael Bridges replacing the ineffective Scott Dobie and Danny Carlton. But Tranmere doubled their lead when Williams allowed Ryan Shotton to out-jump him and glance home Moore's cross from the right. Graham tapped home a 90th-minute consolation after the ball had come back off the woodwork but it was too little too late.
