Team Teaser - Manager's favourites

Skysports.com's Team Teaser gives you the chance to help us fill in the missing blanks.

Welcome to skysports.com's Team Teaser. This is the game where you have the chance to help us fill in the missing blanks.

We provide you with a theme and you have to compile together a starting XI based on that theme. If you have a Team Teaser idea you would like running feel free to drop me an e-mail at james.pearson@bskyb.com with words 'team teaser' in the headline. Please e-mail only with ideas, not answers.

For example if the theme was East Enders then an ideal defender would be 'Terry Butcher' as in 'Pat Butcher' and so on until the line-up is complete!

Our new theme is manager's favourites. For example Junior Lewis was signed by Peter Taylor on more than one occasion for different clubs. We're looking for any player who has been signed by the same manager for at least two different clubs.

Let's get the ball rolling with our latest Team Teaser by adding in the likes of Thierry Henry up front and Maniche in midfield. Henry signed professional forms under Arsene Wenger at Monaco in 1992 before the being signed by The Gunners' long-serving manager again in August 1999. Jose Mourinho brought Maniche to Porto before re-signing him again after taking over at Chelsea. Thanks go to Paul Kay and Keith Brennan for the suggestions.

Richard Gough has been added after being signed by Walter Smith for Rangers he was then signed by Smith again in 1999 at Everton. Richard Kelbrick spotted that one. Sam Foster remembered Olivier Kapo was signed by Steve Bruce for both Birmingham and Wigan.

Gough will be partnered at the heart of the defence by Senegal international Abdoulaye Faye, who was suggested by Russell Thompson. The powerful centre-half is certainly a firm favourite of Sam Allardyce, after the former Bolton and Newcastle boss worked with the African ace at the Reebok Stadium and St James' Park.

Paulo Ferreira makes the team at right-back after being recommended by Thomas Hall. Jose Mourinho brought the Portuguese defender to Porto in 2002 and then signed him again when he took charge at Chelsea two years later.

Complementing Ferreira at left-back will be the much-travelled Steve Guppy. The one-cap England international is the second member of our side to follow Martin O'Neill around the British Isles. He first worked with the excitable Northern Irish boss at Wycombe before joining him once again at Leicester in 1997. Guppy then spent a third spell under O'Neill's guidance when he made a move north of the border to join Celtic in 2001. Thanks go to Ronan Breen for suggesting Guppy.

Meanwhile, between the sticks with have decided to follow Matthew Gospel's advice and go for Shaka Hislop. The Trinidad & Tobago keeper was signed by Harry Redknapp for West Ham in 1998, before swapping life at Upton Park for that at Portsmouth when Redknapp came calling again in 2002.

Yet another Team Teaser is complete following the additions of Gary Lineker and Juan Sebastian Veron. Lineker, suggested by Dan Shoesmith, was brought to Barcelona in 1986 by Terry Venables, who later brought the England international to Spurs in 1989. Paul Gleeson wanted Veron in the team after he was signed by Sven Goran Eriksson twice. First for Sampdoria and then for Lazio.

Our manager's favourites team teaser is definitely now complete with Neil Lennon replacing Stiliyan Petrov in the middle of the park. It had been thought O'Neill signed Petrov for both Celtic and Aston Villa, but the Ulsterman was not in charge when Petrov arrived at Parkhead. However, another one of O'Neill's favourites has made the team in Lennon. O'Neill convinced Lennon to join Leicester in 1996 and he brought him with him to Celtic when he became The Bhoys' boss in 2000. Thanks go to Dan Shoesmith for that one.
