The holders begin the defence of their crown, after being handed a bye in the first round, at home to League Two strugglers
Bournemouth.
The Dons defeated
Grimsby in the final back in March, although the Mariners have been on the slide since then.
With Mike Newell now installed as the new boss at Blundell Park they will be looking for a much-needed victory away at
Scunthorpe.
Gigg Lane is set to host a feisty North West derby as
Stockport make the short trip to
Bury, while League Two leaders
