Dennis Hobson has ruled out making a fresh bid to assist Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday.
Boxing promoter Hobson has been linked with helping the South Yorkshire club, amid fears that Geoff Sheard's takeover move has stalled.
Hobson previously led a failed takeover bid by a Jersey-based consortium, but has no plans to hand Wednesday a renewed financial boost in the near future.
He said in the
Yorkshire Post: "I still love Sheffield Wednesday but if anyone thinks I am going to chuck money at the club, they can forget it. That's not going to happen now.
"We tried and tried but we were never encouraged. My money has gone into other projects."
