Norway striker does not want to silence Scotland support
Norway striker Steffen Iversen is hoping to use the unique Hampden Park atmosphere to his advantage on Saturday.
Iversen last visited Scotland's home stadium with Norway in 2004 when he netted the only goal of the game from the penalty spot.
And the former Tottenham forward has revealed how he enjoys the Hampden atmosphere and he is hoping for more of the same in Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Scotland, a match which can be seen live on
Sky Sports 1 and HD 1.
"No, I love it," said Iversen when asked if he was intimidated by the famous Hampden Roar.
"The last time I was here was probably the most memorable game I had played in a very long time.
"The atmosphere was fantastic and we just had to try to use it to our advantage.
"I like them when they are loud. They were loud the whole time when we played them last time.
"For me, as a player, I love playing in these conditions. It doesn't matter if it's home or away - the atmosphere is very important to me."
