Five-time champions move joint second in South America

Two goals from Manchester City star Robinho helped Brazil to a comfortable 4-0 win over Venezuela in the South American section of qualifying for the 2010 World Cup. The victory moves Brazil level on points with Argentina in second position in the South American group of the battle to qualify for the finals in two years' time. Milan playmaker Kaka - who has been the subject of fresh reports linking him with City - opened the scoring in the sixth minute and Brazil never looked back. Venezuela struggled to contain their visitors and Robinho duly doubled the advantage on 10 minutes. Adriano added a third nine minutes later and, after the interval, Robinho (67) grabbed his second of the match.
