Boro striker maintains belief
Middlesbrough striker Afonso Alves remains confident he will soon be back on the goalscoring trail.
The Brazilian has scored just once this season, but Boro's record signing remain upbeat.
Alves admits he is still settling into life in the Premier League following his move from Heerenveen in January.
"I am finding my feet here but eventually the goals will come. If I relax I will score," he told the
Daily Mail.
"All the defenders are tough and the actual football is very competitive.
"In Holland I scored more goals than I played matches."
Alves insists he has no regrets about making the move to Teesside after the switch was recommended to him by the likes of Fabio Rochemback and Juninho - who previously enjoyed spells at The Riverside.
"Middlesbrough came up with the most solid offer and I had great references about the city, the club and the fans," he continued.
"Fabio told me good things and that was why I decided to come. My agent spoke to Juninho and he talked wonders about the club and everything he said has been confirmed."
