Jose Mourinho hopes Patrick Vieira will not be called up for France's friendly in November.
Inter manager warns France that Vieira needs more recovery time
Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho has said that he hopes Patrick Vieira will not be called up for France's friendly in November.
France play Uruguay next month, but Mourinho wants Vieira to skip the game so as to avoid a relapse of the muscular injuries he frequently suffers.
He said: "I have had French players also at Chelsea and the situation is always the same, players got injured with the national team or when they came back they got injured a few days later.
"Patrick is improving but he's not ready to play yet. In November there is another match for France. Maybe he goes, comes back injured, he recovers to play another match with France.
"For a player who has had physical problems like Vieira, I think it would be better waiting for the next official engagement in 2009.
"I bet anyway, he will be called up for their friendly in November."
