Adriano Galliani claims David Beckham made the first moves regarding a loan deal with AC Milan.
Midfielder's San Siro switch not yet definite
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani claims David Beckham made the first moves regarding a loan deal with the Italian club.
Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder Beckham is considering a short-term loan switch to the San Siro to maintain his fitness during the MLS off-season.
Beckham has confirmed he is discussing terms with Milan regarding the chance to link up with the likes of Kaka and Ronaldinho in Serie A.
Milan have welcomed the chance to sign the former Manchester United star, with coach Carlo Ancelotti keen to have the England international in his squad.
However, despite Milan's eagerness to agree a deal for the 33-year-old, Galliani insists Beckham's camp made the initial approach.
Not definite
"The Beckham stuff came from him," Galliani told
Rai television.
"It was the English player who made his lawyers phone us having decided to play for Milan.
"Beckham, very probably, will be with us from the start of January, he will stay with us for two or three months then he will go back.
"It is not definite that he is coming."
