African looking for move to Premier League
Eric Matoukou is looking to seal a move to the Premier League, his agent has confirmed to
skysports.com.
The Cameroon international is currently starring for Belgian side Genk and is attracting a number of scouts following a string of impressive displays.
Blackburn have been tracking him for a number of weeks and a Rovers scout was present at the weekend as Genk faced Standard Liege.
Matoukou is likely to have impressed as he helped Genk keep a clean sheet against the league leaders.
The 25-year-old is now keen to move on when the transfer window opens in January and he would love the chance to seal a Premier League transfer.
Looking for move
"He wants to leave in January, but if that is not possible then next summer," his agent Kismet Eris told
skysports.com.
"He would love the chance to play in England, it is his dream like with most players."
Eris denied that there had been any contact with Blackburn.
"I have not spoken with Blackburn, nobody has contacted me," he said.
"But it is not a shock if they are watching him, given how well he is playing for Genk and also for Cameroon.
"He would be perfect for England and has all the characteristics needed to succeed in England."
