South Korean midfielder makes a swift return from knee injury

West Brom midfielder Kim Do-heon is set to return to first team action as early as this Saturday a full two weeks before he was expected back. Kim was stretchered off in West Brom's 1-0 win over Middlesbrough at the Riverside. The midfielder suffered medial ligament damage and his return is a major boost for the Baggies. The 26-year-old had been a key figure for his side having started four of the opening six fixtures and it would appear that his side have missed him. Since the South Korean's injury West Brom have won only once and lost heavily to Manchester United and fellow promoted side Hull City and Tuesday night saw them succumb 2-1 away at Newcastle United. Boss Tony Mowbray is hoping that the midfielder's inclusion in the squad to face Blackburn on Saturday will lift his players as they look to end a run of three straight defeats. He said: "Kim is just about ready. He is now in full training and way ahead of schedule. I'm hopeful he will be ready for the weekend against Blackburn - and pushing for a place. "This is the first time Kim has been injured since he joined us. Some players are good healers and recover very quickly while the problems of others can drag on. "Let's hope this is a good sign for Kim and that he will recover quickly from any knocks he does get."
