Right-back expected to be on the sidelines for season
Grenoble defender Jimmy Mainfroi is expected to be ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery.
The full-back is set to go under the knife in a bid to cure the ligament injury he sustained against Caen on the last day of the 2007/08 Ligue 1 season.
It is predicted Mainfroi will require six months to regain match fitness, meaning he will not play again this term.
The news will come as a blow for Grenoble as they attempt to secure qualification for Europe.
Grenoble sit sixth in Ligue 1 after 11 games and will hope to continue to impress at Lorient on Saturday.
