Non-League outfit eager to repeat last season's heroics

Havant & Waterlooville will again look to write their names in FA Cup folklore this season and they host Brentford in the first round on Sunday. Liverpool were almost upset in the fourth round last term as non-league Havant twice took the lead before their hosts eventually progressed. And Havant are again eager to cause a shock or two, beginning with a victory against League Two Brentford. However, Shaun Gale's side face a tough task as Brentford arrive at Westleigh Park unbeaten in three games and ninth in the fourth tier of English football. Gale will be without Brighton's Dan Royce after his loan spell expired, while Guy Butters is also missing with a calf injury.

Impress

Former Bee Jay Smith (knee) is sidelined, but midfielders Brett Poate and Charlie Henry could return. Brentford boss Andy Scott could rest some members of his squad, with promotion the priority at Griffin Park. That could see the likes of midfielder Kevin O'Connor, who is in the last year of his contract, offered an opportunity to impress. Centre-half James Wilson played the final game of his successful three-month loan spell from Bristol City last weekend and will need to be replaced. Ipswich's Dean Bowditch made his debut against Rochdale and the forward will again hope to feature.
