Cheltenham have agreed a deal to sign on-loan defender Drissa Diallo permanently in January.
Allen also looking to bring in a striker
Cheltenham Town have agreed a deal to sign on-loan defender Drissa Diallo on a permanent basis in January.
Diallo has made seven appearances for Cheltenham since joining on loan from League One rivals MK Dons in September.
Robins boss Martin Allen has now confirmed that the experienced stopper has agreed an 18-month contract at Whaddon Road.
"We've signed Diallo, from January 1st he's our player," Allen told a fans' forum.
"With the way he trains and the way he conducts himself he's a good example. He will be a great asset for this club in bringing on other players."
Brooker interest
Allen is also keen to sign Bristol City striker Steve Brooker, who scored five goals in 14 appearances in a loan stint at Cheltenham last season.
"We need to score more and concede less and I hope to get a striker in," said Allen. "It won't be before this Saturday, but I want to improve the team, not the squad but the first team.
"He (Brooker) is injured at the moment, but he's a good player and did great for this club last season.
"There's a lot of clubs interested in him but we'll see."
