Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has vowed to prove his critics wrong and win over the Spurs faithful.
The summer signing from PSV Eindhoven has come under fire after a number of high-profile errors this season.
Gomes' uncertain start to life at White Hart Lane has led to speculation that Harry Redknapp might move for a new goalkeeper when the transfer window reopens in January.
However, Gomes is not worried about the criticism and is determined to be a success at Spurs.
"I'm a very cool guy and I'm sure I will win the affection of the supporters at Tottenham, just as I did at PSV," Gomes told
The Sun.
Not bothered
"The criticism doesn't really bother me. I know my game, I'm confident in my game and I just want to keep playing well and prove to everyone that I am a top goalkeeper.
"When you are in a big team, that is full of confidence and winning, you don't have much work and life is easy.
"But when you are constantly being challenged to make saves and asked to be busy things are different. If I have to make more saves and I have to constantly come out of the nets, I'm also more exposed and prone to mistakes. But I'm used to that."
The Brazilian also revealed that new boss Redknapp has instilled some confidence into the side since his arrival at the club at the end of last month.
Spurs are unbeaten in four games under Redknapp and Gomes believes they can enjoy a successful campaign for the remainder of the season.

"The new manager told us to play with confidence, because we have quality and talent to be among the top teams of the Premier League.
"He told us he believes in this group and our ability to get out of this complicated situation.
"The 4-4 draw with Arsenal was not only a great match but also a good response to those who claim we don't have what it takes.
"The team never stopped believing it was possible and the lads showed great heart to get a last-minute goal.
"Harry is a very positive person, with a lot of experience and I believe we will turn things around with his help.
"Now we are looking to the top of the table and we feel we could be among the leaders by the end of the season."
