Midfielder to spend final month with Southend
Portsmouth midfielder Jean-Francois Christophe will spend a third and final month on loan at Southend United.
Christophe has impressed for the League One club since joining in September after failing to make an impact at Fratton Park.
The Frenchman has scored late equalisers in his last two appearances against local rivals Colchester United in the league and in Saturday's FA Cup first-round draw at AFC Telford.
He will now stay at Roots Hall until Monday 8th December, with the final match of his loan spell coming against Leicester City two days earlier.
Southend boss Steve Tilson has already expressed a wish to sign Christophe permanently, and the midfielder is also open to staying with the club.
Meanwhile, Hal Robson-Kanu and Lee Sawyer will return to Reading and Chelsea respectively after Saturday's game against Tranmere Rovers as their three-month spells come to an end.
