QPR will be looking to bring Burnley back down to earth at Loftus Road on Saturday.

Midfield duo fit for Rangers while Carlisle returns for Clarets

QPR will be looking to bring Burnley back down to earth after the visitors' victory over Chelsea on penalties at Stamford Bridge. Rangers will be looking to leapfrog their opponents by securing three points at Loftus Road with just one point separating the two teams. OPR are boosted by the fact that on-loan Real Madrid midfielder Parejo (back) and Gavin Mahon (knee) have both shrugged off knocks picked up in the Carling Cup defeat against Manchester United to face the Clarets. But Akos Buzsaky damaged his cruciate ligaments in the same game and he will be out of action for six months at least. Mikele Leigertwood serves his final game of a four-match ban while striker Rowan Vine is still recovering from a broken leg. Caretaker boss Gareth Ainsworth has vowed to make changes for Saturday's clash so Damiano Tommasi, Damien Delaney and Hogan Ephraim could feature. Burnley news Clarets manager Owen Coyle welcomes back Clarke Carlisle from suspension just in time to face his old club after spending four years at Loftus Road. Stephen Caldwell will miss the match after he serves a one-match suspension following his sending off against Chelsea on Wednesday. Defender Christian Kalvenes (leg) is a doubt as is midfielder Remco Van der Schaaf (virus) but striker Steve Thompson returns after being cup-tied against Chelsea.
