Tigers boss warned over future conduct
Phil Brown has been fined £1,000 by the Football Association and warned over his future conduct.
The Hull City boss has been disciplined after admitting a charge of improper conduct, relating to his touchline behaviour in the 5-0 defeat to Wigan on 30th August.
Brown kicked a water bottle in frustration as the Tigers suffered their first loss of the season and trudged up to the stands before the referee even had a chance to punish him.
The FA's regulatory commission revealed the punishment took into account Brown's admission of the charge, his immediate apology to the match officials and the steps the club have taken to avoid a repeat incident in the future.
Brown is the third Premier League manager to have faced a disciplinary panel after Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was handed a two-match ban on Tuesday and David Moyes of Everton was hit with a £5,000.
