Wolves to miss banned Henry; Blackpool hoping for key returns

Championship leaders Wolves will miss captain Karl Henry for their home match against mid-table Blackpool. The central midfielder, who has not missed a league or cup game for Mick McCarthy's outfit so far this season, was handed his fifth booking against Southampton last weekend and will now serve a one-match ban. The question of who will step in as captain is as yet unanswered, although Dave Edwards is likely to step into the midfield. McCarthy will assess the fitness of all 11 players who were on international duty midweek before the encounter at Molineux, and he has plenty of other availability issues to work around, too. On-loan Carlos Edwards has returned to parent club Sunderland, meaning Michael Gray or Andy Keogh could get a run out on the flank, and winger Matt Jarvis (hamstring) has returned to light training from his hamstring problem. He's still not ready for a comeback though, and veteran centre-back Jody Craddock is also taking his time to fully recover from a broken toe.

Pool hopes

Blackpool boss Simon Grayson, meanwhile, hopes to have midfielder David Vaughan and defender Danny Coid available at Molineux. Vaughan missed last Sunday's 3-1 home defeat to derby rivals Preston due to a calf injury which also ruled him out of Wales' midweek win in Denmark. And full-back Coid has been nursing a hamstring strain which kept him out of the Preston defeat, but Grayson is hopeful that both will be ready for a comeback. The manager has also hinted that on-loan Sheffield United player Lee Hendrie could be handed a starting berth following his debut as a substitute against North End. Injuries aside, there could be other changes yet to come following the painful defeat to Preston but Mo Camara is one man who should be expected to keep his place in the team; it's his last match on loan before he returns to Derby.
