Brazilian star Geovanni is willing to play anywhere for Hull City so that he can remain a part of their Premier League adventure.
The 28-year-old was switched from his preferred role behind the front two to the left wing early in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Portsmouth in a bid to counter the runs of Pompey right-back Glen Johnson.
That meant Geovanni, who has scored six goals for the Premier League new-boys, had to stifle his attacking instincts.
But City looked a more solid outfit following the switch from 4-3-3 to 4-4-2 and the former Manchester City man played his part as the Tigers recovered from an early Peter Crouch opener.
"If I have to play in a different position then so be it. That's no problem if it helps the team to get results," he told the
Hull Daily Mail.
Balance
"Where I play will depend on how the opposition plays. Against Portsmouth, they had five across the middle so I was needed on the left to help balance that out.
"It was crowded in the middle so I needed to change position."
After a superb start to their debut top-flight season, it is thought opposing teams have learnt how to nullify City's system of playing Geovanni between their strike pair and midfield trio so moving to a 4-4-2 would offer a more flexible approach.
"I prefer to play behind the strikers, that's the role I like most, but the most important thing for me is that I am playing games," said Geovanni.
"I need to be playing all the time for the team in every game and I don't mind where that is on the pitch, to be honest.
"This team means everything to me," he added. "I feel I owe the club because they gave me the opportunity to play football."
