Forest duo return, Devaney blow for Tykes

Matt Thornhill and Ian Breckin could be back for Nottingham Forest, while Barnsley's Martin Devaney has been ruled out. Nottingham Forest are currently bottom of the Championship table but they have only lost one of their last six games. Thornhill missed the midweek draw at Doncaster with an ankle injury while skipper Breckin has sat out the last two games due to a dead leg and illness. Both players resumed training on Thursday and will be given late fitness tests. Midfielder Chris Cohen is still missing due to the ankle injury which sidelined him at Doncaster and could also be struggling for next week's trip to Coventry. Striker Robert Earnshaw recovered from a calf strain to make a substitute appearance in midweek and will push for a start. Teenager Brendan Moloney has been added to the squad after he was recalled from his loan spell at Rushden.

Barnsley news

Barnsley have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks to pull further away from the relegation zone. However, they will be without Devaney for the trip to the City Ground after he picked up an ankle injury against Burnley which could keep him sidelined for at least eight weeks. Devaney's replacement on Tuesday, Diego Leon, sustained a groin injury in the same match and has also been ruled out. New loan signing Jamie Cureton is expected to make his Tykes debut and midfielder Anderson De Silva returns from suspension. Cureton arrived on Thursday on an emergency loan as cover for Iain Hume (fractured skull) and will go straight into the squad, while De Silva has completed a three-match ban. Tykes manager Simon Davey is still without summer signing Darren Moore (groin), so Bobby Hassell and Marciano Van Homoet will vie for a place in the back four.
