Midfielder sustains injury during victory over PSG
Arsenal and Everton target Stephane M'Bia is out for up to a month after sustaining a hamstring injury.
The Cameroon midfielder had to be substituted after only 31 minutes of Rennes 3-1 victory over PSG at the weekend.
He told
skysports.com: "I hurt my right hamstring in the first-half. I am waiting for the scan to see the tears but I will be out no more than one month."
Asked about a possible move to the Premier League in the January transfer window, he added: "Listen, you should ask Rennes about that...I am disappointed about my injury."
The Cameroon midfielder was strongly linked with a move to the Premier League before the transfer window closed in the summer.
Everton had an offer rejected by the French side, while Arsenal showed a late interest in his services before the player agreed a new contract at Rennes.
But as part of the deal, he will be allowed to leave the club next summer.
