Blues keeper reflects on disappointing run of results
Petr Cech admits Chelsea's recent wobble has come as a disappointment to everyone at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have surrendered top spot in the Premier League table to Liverpool after failing to win either of their last two top flight fixtures.
They were also held to a 1-1 draw by Bordeaux in their last UEFA Champions outing, putting their European dreams in doubt.
Cech accepts that recent results have not been good enough, but believes Luiz Felipe Scolari's men remain well placed both at home and abroad.
"To only be one point behind the leading team is not too bad," the Czech Republic international told
Denik Sport.
"I am feeling disappointed about not having won our last three games, though. That has given us food for thought."
Cech also shares the belief that the upcoming Christmas period can make-or-break seasons.
With so many fixtures to get through, the commanding keeper is hoping Chelsea can display the necessary resilience to ensure that they emerge on top.
"Beginning next week, we will have a large number of games. That will then last until February," he added.
"Whoever manages to go through this streak of games at the top of the table will have the best chance of taking the title.
"One or two months from now will be very important."
