Nicky Hunt is available for Birmingham, but Watford are waiting on the fitness of Jay DeMerit.
Full-back to play final game of loan spell, DeMerit worry for Watford
Nicky Hunt is due to make the final appearance of his loan spell for Birmingham City against a Watford side waiting on Jay DeMerit.
Full-back Hunt is currently due to return to Bolton Wanderers after Saturday's game and has recovered from a hamstring injury suffered against Wolves last week.
However, with Stuart Parnaby now available after his own hamstring injury, Blues boss McLeish admits he has a dilemma about extending Hunt's loan at St Andrews.
Stephen Kelly (thigh) is still a few weeks away from a return, while Damien Johnson (back) is heading towards full fitness and hopes to be back in training next week.
Garry O'Connor has suffered a setback in his recovery from a groin injury, but Gary McSheffrey (knee) has resumed light training and is working towards full fitness
McLeish also revealed that Sebastian Larsson is ready to return to action after being a late withdrawal at Molineux due to personal reasons.
Watford news
Watford boss Brendan Rodgers will likely make a late decision on whether to include skipper DeMerit in his team against second-placed Birmingham.
The defender limped out of the midweek Carling Cup defeat by Tottenham just before the hour mark after sustaining a groin problem, having needed stitches in an eye wound at half-time.
Should he miss out, right-back Adrian Mariappa would move into the centre of defence with Lloyd Doyley starting at full-back.
Lee Williamson will definitely be absent as the midfielder must serve a one-match suspension after collecting his fifth yellow card of the season in the home draw against Doncaster last weekend.
Youngster John-Joe O'Toole, who has been restricted to substitute appearances recently, is likely to replace Williamson and make his first start for almost a month, although John Eustace is another option.
