Striker seeks permanent switch

Gregg Blundell has admitted he would welcome the opportunity to sign a permanent deal at Accrington. The striker is currently on loan at Stanley from League Two rivals Darlington but is hoping that agreement can be revised. The 31-year-old moved to Lancashire in November after becoming increasingly disillusioned with life on the Quakers' bench. "At the moment I'm here for a month but you never know what can happen," he told the Northern Echo. "I had a good chat with the gaffer and he wants me to come for a month and then take it from there. "At Darlington, I was always on the bench and I have appeared every game but one this season but was just getting ten minutes or at the most 30 minutes. "I want to get more football under my belt and this is a great opportunity."
