PSV Eindhoven striker Danko Lazovic has reportedly attracted the interest of two Premier League clubs.
Lazovic has been linked with both Blackburn and West Brom and proved his goalscoring ability against Liverpool when he netted the opener in Tuesday's UEFA Champions League clash.
With Ishmael Miller set to miss the rest of the season with cruciate knee ligament damage, Baggies boss Tony Mowbray looks almost certain to bring in a replacement in the January transfer window.
Roman Bedner is Mowbray's only other striker to start in the Premier League and knows his side need to score more goals if they are to avoid an immediate return to the Championship.
Rovers boss Paul Ince is another manager looking for a fresh face to fire his side out of trouble and both could take a gamble on the Serbian.
After scoring 19 goals in 32 appearances for Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem, Lazovic was snapped up by PSV in 2007.
Troublesome
After bagging 11 goals in his first season with the club the 25-year-old has found the net just six times this campaign after finding himself in and out of the first team.
The Serbian international has a troublesome relationship with PSV head coach Huub Stevens after the player was fined for showing dissent.
A switch in January appears to be on the cards after the player ultimately handed in a transfer request but after the Premier League duo announced their interest through a player's agent PSV technical manager Adrie van Kraay is sceptical of any deal.
He told the
De Telegraaf: "But we don't do business with middlemen.
"We don't want to lose Danko, but if a club report themselves concretely, we will discuss that with the player.
"If both parties find it interesting, only then we will sit around the table."
